About

“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.” Lao Tzu

From my earliest memories as a child in playschool I was always in a corner drawing, painting while others were running around playing.

“I wanted to follow the creative path but it was not an easy option.”

I had a lovely playschool teacher who taught us all how to sing and whom encouraged my creativity and didn’t make me feel different or a freak because of it. I always knew I wanted to follow the creative path but it was not an easy option.

At school I was told that I wouldn’t be able to make a career out of art and to make sure I worked hard at all the nice academic subjects.  My Dad said I would never make any money out of art and well you can imagine how that one stuck in my young subconscious mind.

I don’t blame the people around me, they just didn’t have a template for following their passion so how would they even know how to encourage someone else to.

It is a pity adults don’t realise how much of what they say is taken on board by a child’s mind and thus creates a belief system about themselves that possibly holds them back for life.

 I was shy.

I was sensitive.

I didn’t fit in.

Nobody understood.  So its out of this pain that a determination grew to not let them get the better of me and to prove to all of them that I was going to do what I wanted to do, and follow my creativity.
